In 2007, AMX Metals ventured into the trading business, leveraging our expertise and extensive network of buyers and suppliers worldwide to provide clients with the best deals on recycled metals. By the end of the decade, the team decided to focus on trading and closed the scrap yard and the foundry.
In 2011 we founded our first international trading office in Ridgefield CT. This office was later moved to Miami FL in 2014, where it still handles all of the trading and financial needs of AMX Metals.
Over the years, we continued to grow our business and reputation, and in 2017, we started wholesale operations in Monterrey, Mexico, further expanding our reach and capabilities by servicing scrap dealers and regional companies. In 2018 we opened a second wholesale location in Queretaro, Mexico.
In 2021, we added industrial recycling services to our portfolio, providing customers with customized waste management and recycling solutions.
In 2021, preparing for future growth, we secured land and began planning for a new state of the art facility in Monterrey. Construction is set to begin in the second half of 2023.
